To raise awareness and funds for important medical research
My name is Thomas Hughes, welcome to my fundraising page. In January of 2010 I suffered a server spinal cord injury (50% c5-c6 dislocation/break for those interested). 9 years on I have made an astonishing recovery and I'm now a few short months away from graduating as a secondary teacher of biology and HPE. For the duration of my recovery and beyond I didn't cut my hair, I have always been a fan of long hair but my pursuit of a career in rugby union had always kept it short. Currently I have a head full of red dreadlocks almost a metre long and have finally come to the point that I'm ready to see them off. If I can raise some money for spinal injuries in the process all he better. My surgery and initial recovery was at the PA hospital and I'm now great-full to be in the position to give a little back to the team that took such good care of me. I will attach some images of my time in hospital as well as some progression of my hair growth. Any donations will be much appreciated, cheers.
